Getting to Tasmania

Direct flights to Hobart are available domestically from Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and the Gold Coast on a number of airlines including Qantas, Jetstar Airways, Virgin Australia and Tigerair Australia.

Airport Transfers

The Airporter Shuttle meets all scheduled flights into Hobart. There is no need to pre-book this service, just pay onboard. Busses can be found immediately outside the terminal.

Car and Bicyle

Kettering is located approximately 34 kilometres south of Hobart. Travel times from Hobart are approximately 35 minutes by car and 2hours 15 minutes by bicycle.

Leaving Hobart CBD head south on Davey Street until you come to the Southern Outlet/A6. Turn left onto the Outlet Head , you will climb a steep hill out of Hobart with some spectacular views  of the City. Continue until you come to the first junction before reaching the town of Kingston take the right lane and follow the signs to Bruny Island Ferry on the Channel Highway/ B68. You will travel approximately 15 kilometres through the scenic Channel District passing through the towns of Margate and Snug. When you reach Kettering turn left onto Ferry Road, the junction is marked with signage to the Bruny Island Ferry Terminal. You will see the Sailtas Berth and banner approximately 200 metres before the terminal at the end of the road.

Bus

There is a Metro Bus service running from Hobart to our berth in Kettering which has a travel time of 55 minutes. Buses leave from Stop P, Franklin Square Hobart. Fares and the full timetable are available on the Metro Bus Website https://www.metrotas.com.au

Please check before traveling for any updates. The Routes to Kettering are Route 416 and 415 and the stop to get off in Kettering is the Ferry Terminal which is about 200 metres from our berth at 45 Ferry Road, Kettering. There are usually four services per day with different times on weekends.
