Our Yacht – Sea – G

Our yacht leaves from Kettering Tasmania – a short sail from Bruny Island and the best way to cruise Tasmania.

Onboard Accommodation

You will find Sea – G, our Catalina 42′ yacht, perfect for sailing charters in Tasmanian waters. With three teak lined staterooms, she can accommodate up to three couples comfortably on an overnight sailing trip. Bright and airy, she also boasts two bathrooms, a spacious saloon and a generous galley where fresh Tasmanian food and beverages are served.  She is equipped with state of the art navigation and communications equipment for your safe passage.

Salon and Rear Twin Cabins

Comfortable Cruising

The cockpit is large and capable of entertaining up to twelve of your friends and family. Her seats are 6′-8″ long and big enough for stretching out on.  To ensure your comfort, her cockpit has been decked out with covers to provide shade and protection. Furthermore her transom opens to a swim platform, where a barbecue, deck shower, dingy and swim ladder allow you to fully immerse yourself in the experience.

Sailing Performance

Sea – G has a full suite of sails for all conditions. Because her performance is very respectable, you can participate in as much sailing as you wish. The attractive line of her hull and the way the quarter wave just kisses the edge of the transom maximises her length to make cruising at seven knots easy. When needed, you can also rely on her powerful 54 HP Yanmar turbo diesel motor.

On deck, she is clean and unobstructed except for hatches and handrails. Her rigging shrouds allow for effective sheeting angles and easy passage to the foredeck on either side. However, you  needn’t leave the comfort of the cockpit, because her sheets and the traveler are accessible from there.

Participate

Sea – G is the perfect vessel for both novice and seasoned sailors. You can do as much or as little as you like. The equipment and maintenance onboard is of the highest standard to ensure a safe and well performing vessel. If you are interested, we will happily explain the finer points of sail trimming, helming, navigation, passage planning, anchoring and cruising.

The only way to enjoy the Scenery and Wildlife

Sailing is the the best way to enjoy the magnificent scenery and wildlife of Bruny Island and Tasmania’s East Coast. We ‘tread lightly and quietly on the planet’ allowing us to get up close and personal with dolphins, seals, birdlife and for whale watching (in season). Our yacht provides a perfect platform for photography in what is a true ‘ecotourism’ experience.
